MSFS2020 – New Product: LOIE

With the switch to the latest state-of-the-art design tools, we have put a lot of effort into recreating the home base of “RK-2,” operated by ARA Flugrettung gGmbH. This rescue base is located on the grounds of the Bezirkskrankenhaus Reutte in Tyrol and has been in operation since 2006.

True to our standards, the heliport has been meticulously built as an exact-scale recreation of the RK-2 base and BKH Reutte. It offers full support for real-time day–night transitions and seasonal variation, delivering an immersive experience in all conditions. For seasoned pilots, the heli-trailer is configured for both landings and takeoffs, adding an extra layer of challenge and authenticity.

With MSFS 2024 Sim Update 4, we are now fully transitioning development to the MSFS 2024 platform. This means all future products will be released for MSFS 2024, and development for MSFS 2020 has ended.

Similarly, we are moving away from simMarket. All new products—including the LOIE rescue base—will be released exclusively on the Microsoft Marketplace going forward. Existing products on simMarket will remain available and will receive updates as needed.

MSFS2020 – New Product: LOIL

After extensive development, we are excited to announce the release of our latest product for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (MSFS 2020). The home base of Christophorus 5, located in Zams, Tyrol, faithfully recreates the real-world rescue base that also serves as a transfer hub for other operators in the region, connecting air rescue missions to ground ambulance services.

Initially, we had planned to release this helipad with a fully open and accessible interior. However, during testing, we observed performance impacts, particularly in VR environments. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all users, we made the decision to temporarily close the interior for this release. Rest assured, we plan to reopen the doors with the release of MSFS 2024, which is scheduled for later this year.

As always, the heliport is crafted as a highly detailed, 1:1 replica of the real Christophorus 5 base. It features full support for dynamic day-night cycles and seasonal changes, ensuring an immersive experience across all conditions. For experienced pilots, the heli-trailer is designed to allow both landings and takeoffs, adding an extra layer of challenge and realism.

We hope you enjoy this meticulously designed operational site, now available on simMarket and in the MSFS 2020 Marketplace.

New website launch

We are excited to announce that our new website is finally live! With a dedicated domain, we are no longer utilizing the resources of our partner, HeliRescue.at. As a result, flightsim.helirescue.at will now be directly linked to hrsimyard.eu.

You may wonder why we chose the .eu domain—it’s simple: we primarily focus on developing sceneries for Europe, although there may be some exceptions in the future, so stay tuned!

On our new site, you will find a comprehensive overview of all our products, along with their availability on simMarket and the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace. We will also provide release notes and details on any potential issues or impacts due to updates.

Stay tuned for more updates!
